Paste names, spin the wheel, and pick a random winner.
Spin a colorful name wheel to randomly select a winner from your list of entries. This free, browser-based spinner wheel is perfect for giveaways, classroom activities, team decisions, and party games. No account or login required — just paste your names and spin.
The Spinner Wheel is an interactive random selection tool that displays entries as colored segments on a visual spinning wheel. Each name or item you enter becomes a slice of the wheel, and the spinner uses randomized physics to determine where it lands. It is a fun, engaging alternative to traditional random number generators, bringing excitement and transparency to any selection process. Whether you are picking a contest winner, assigning tasks, or deciding where to eat, the visual spin adds an element of drama and fairness that everyone can see.
Enter your list of names or items in the text area, one per line, and click "Apply Names" to populate the wheel. Press "Spin" or click the center of the wheel to start the animation. The wheel decelerates naturally and lands on a random entry, which is announced as the winner. Use "Shuffle" to randomize the order of segments, "Remove Winner" to eliminate the selected entry for subsequent rounds, or enable auto-removal in Settings for tournament-style draws. Toggle spin sound and confetti effects to customize the experience.
Yes. Each spin uses a cryptographically seeded random number generator to determine the final landing position, ensuring that no segment has a statistically higher chance of winning than any other. The physical deceleration animation is cosmetic — the winning segment is determined mathematically at the moment you press Spin, and the wheel animation simply reveals that result. Every entry you add receives exactly one segment of equal size, so lists with duplicate names are the only scenario where one name has a higher probability of appearing.
Enable the "Remove Winner" option in the Settings panel before you spin. Each time a winner is selected, that name is automatically removed from the wheel, preventing the same entry from winning again in subsequent rounds. This makes the Spinner Wheel ideal for bracket-style tournaments, sequential task assignments, or raffles where each entry should appear at most once. You can also manually remove names by editing the text area and clicking Apply Names to rebuild the wheel.
The names you enter are not automatically saved between sessions, so they will be cleared when you refresh the page. To reuse the same list, copy the names from the text area and save them in a plain text file or a notes app before closing the tab. On your next visit, paste the saved list back into the Names field and click Apply Names to restore the wheel. This workflow works well for recurring events like weekly team standups or classroom activities where you use the same roster repeatedly.
