A standard tarot deck contains 78 cards divided into two groups. The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards numbered 0 through 21, representing significant life themes, archetypal energies, and major turning points — cards like The Fool, The Tower, The Star, and The World. The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Each suit has 14 cards (Ace through 10, plus four court cards: Page, Knight, Queen, and King).
