Meme Generator is a free, browser-based tool for creating classic internet memes with bold text overlays. Upload any image, type your top and bottom text, customise font size, colours, and alignment, then download the finished meme as a PNG. Everything runs in your browser -- no server upload, no watermarks, no account required.
Meme Generator recreates the iconic meme format: a photograph or illustration with bold, outlined text at the top and bottom of the image. The tool uses the HTML Canvas API to render Impact-style typography with a thick stroke outline, the hallmark of classic meme aesthetics. You control the text content, font size, fill colour, stroke colour, and horizontal alignment. The live canvas preview updates as you type, so you can experiment with wording and styling in real time before downloading the final image.
Upload an image by dragging it into the drop zone or clicking to browse. The image is drawn onto a canvas element. Type your top text and bottom text into the respective fields -- the preview updates live with every keystroke. Use the font size slider to scale the text up or down. Pick a fill colour (default white) and stroke colour (default black) to match the classic meme look or create a custom style. Choose left, centre, or right alignment. When the meme looks right, click Download Meme to save it as a full-resolution PNG file to your device.
