    About This Module

Merge multiple PDF documents into a single file or split one PDF into separate pages instantly with this free, browser-based tool. No file uploads, no server processing, and no account required. Your documents stay completely private because all operations happen locally on your device using the pdf-lib library.

What Is PDF Merge / Split?

PDF Merge / Split is a client-side document utility that combines two essential PDF operations into one simple interface. The merge function lets you upload multiple PDF files, drag them into your preferred order, and combine them into a single downloadable document. The split function takes one PDF, shows you the total page count, and lets you select which pages to extract as individual PDF files. This tool is built for anyone who needs quick PDF manipulation without installing desktop software or trusting third-party cloud services with sensitive documents. It handles standard PDF files of any size that your browser memory can support.

    How It Works

Choose the Merge tab to combine files. Drag and drop multiple PDF files onto the upload area or click to browse your file system. Rearrange files by dragging them into the desired order in the file list. Click "Merge All" to generate a combined PDF and download it instantly. Switch to the Split tab to extract pages. Upload a single PDF and the tool will display the total page count with checkboxes for each page. Select the pages you want, click "Extract Selected Pages," and download each extracted page as its own PDF file. Use "Select All" to quickly check every page at once.
